Until recently Irish Life and Friends First have been the only Life Assurance Companies that offer true income protection policies. However, it is great to see some competition in this area with New Ireland entering the arena. The product they are offering is very competitive and has some new features not available from the other two companies. For some quotes I have already run for clients they are significantly cheaper than Irish Life and Friends First, but the pricing depends on age and work status.
